904.

Watercolor Faces: This was an exercise to emulate the working methods of well known illustrator and character designer Peter de' Seve. Peter Seve uses a mix of pencil, ink and watercolors in a fairly complex and convoluted process, but the end result has a warm and distinctive look that I wanted to try achieving. I think this experiment can be called a success.

Circles de Seve, Pencil, Ink, Watercolor on Paper, 15"x20", 2012

The images start as soft brown line drawings, which are then covered with warm dilute washes, and finally with layers of watercolor and ink.
